So, I asked what you guys thought of 2006 Chargers and I got almost all positive feedback. After that, I dug a little deeper and found that there was already a $1000 deposit on it but that with their current financial status they needed $2000 down. Today is when they figure out if they could come up with the extra grand. If not, it's likely coming down for me to closer inspect and probably buy.
So on that note, wish me luck!

I hope you get it. I once had a rented charger, even with the anameic engine it was awesome.

I've driven my moms 07 with the 3.5 HO and it's pretty fantastic, I'm excited to see the 5.7 in action.

Power, reliability, utility, hoonage potential, and cheap cost. That's all you really need in a car.
I really wish these had replaced the fleet versions of the Crown Vic instead of the Camrys and Priuses.

Oh God, if you think the slow as balls 3.5 was good you'll be blown away by the 5.7
my brother has had his 06 R/T-P since 2008 with 10,000 miles on it. He now has over 120k on it and it has been relatively trouble free

I never minded the Chargers. I have only really played with the police package cars, but they seem much better than most other things Dodge puts out. My guess is the active suspension from Mercedes was one of the big improvements I was feeling because it handled far better than the weight would suggest it should.

I don't think it's fast but it was a whole lot torque-ier than I thought.
Still waiting to see the 5.7l tho :/

I've never been in a 3.5 car, I've been in a 2.7 rental and that was just abysmal.
Here is my brothers 06 R/T

Yeah night and day difference between the two. I've spun the tires in the 3.5 on dry pavement in the summer, I'm interested to see what a HEMI can do.
Also I really like that styling, it's really clean and those wheels look good on it.
